SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed with regard to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to read more reach-out to some significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The services position made for intervention encounters a higher inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to empower the servicing of all buyers and boost usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
