The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house which has a combined gross house earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined home cash flow does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for more info each annum.
